I seek out schwarzbier so when I see this on the shelf I’m getting it.
Poured the color of cola and looked nearly black in the glass. The head is manilla colored, didn’t amount to much but never went away either.
Apologies for not reporting on the aroma, Covid damaged my nose.
The taste is, well, excellent. The roasted malts are prominent, giving me the biscuit and crackers taste and the hops swoop in to finish the swallow, leaving me with a nice herbal edge that encourages me to drink more.
The feel is spot on- it’s a good thing that this is almost sessionable as once I took my notes, I pretty much slammed the rest. Then I was a little sad as I didn’t have another one to drink.
