(review from December 2023) Might be a slightly different canned version? Solid, well balanced, NE-kinda-sorta ipa with nice aroma; thick haze; good mouthfeel and a piney/citrusy/resiny/earthyish-kinda flavor & slightly lingering aftertaste. Wavering between light and not light but regardless, very quaffable.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. No canning date information found. Label lists ABV as 6.8%.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. One finger white head upon pouring settles to interrupted islands and frothy ring. Each sip leaves behind an irregular ring of lacing.
Aroma of fruit and dirt. Neither is very expressive but the fruit is tropical. The dirt is a reminder of rich top soil.
Taste has a main component of zingy orange and mango. The brightness of the fruit is drug down by the earthy onion flavor. Not much of an after taste, just a high residing note of non-bitter citrus pith. Sweetness is muted overall.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation. Not exactly dry, but the taste profile dulls itself down rather quickly.
A non-sweet, muted fruit IPA with a strong earthy aspect, that reminds me of an garden raised orange cantaloupe. Different taste profile than a typical IPA, but easy drinking.

Pine Tree V1.0 pours a cloudy bright orange with a finger of white head. Head retention is fair, with little to no lacing left behind. Aroma is delightful. It smells like a bowl crammed full of pine needles, spruce tips, and nettles. It's a whirlwind of evergreen notes. Flavor profile is a dash of orange zest before soaring into notes of pine needles, pine cones, and spruce tips. The initial flash of flavor is reminiscent of typical citrus bomb NE IPAs, but the quick refocus on pine and resin leaves the taste somewhere in the middle coast. The pine notes carry a hint of bitterness. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a minute graininess to it. Overall, a unique "NE IPA", most notably since the bulk of its aroma and flavor profile carry notes typically brought about by West Coast style IPAs. Still, the masked bitterness, look, and feel are something more akin to a NE IPA. Interesting.
