Our breakfast stout named after Morningside Dr. in our neighborhood. This American stout is brewed with coffee, cacao nib, vanilla beans, and tiny bit of smoked malt.

16oz canned 12/7/18 (1 month ago) poured into a Spiegelau stout glass at fridge temp 6.5% ABV per label. The beer pours very dense black with copper tinted brown head. The head recedes to a fat ring and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is cold brewed coffee and dark roasted malt. The taste is semisweet chocolate and coffee with a mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with just less than medium carbonation and a mostly dry finish. There is a bit of tangyness, reminiscent of porter, but the feel is pure stout (I suspect there is lactose, oats or possibly both included in the recipe). Overall, delicious and excellent. I'm assuming this beer's featured coffee rotates as my can has a sticker stating: Oddly Correct Coffee Columbia Flores de Acevedo 12/7/28

Pours black with a finger of khaki foam sticking to the top. Head retention is okay. Aroma is teeming with life, hitting notes of maple syrup, medium-bodied, acidic coffee, chocolate, lactose, and roasty, toasty malts. Flavor profile is roasty, toasty malts with hearty additions of maple syrup, dark and milk chocolate, and medium-bodied, fleshy coffee. Seemlessly stirs a fresh cup of coffee into a chocolate chip waffle. Mouth feel is lightly grainy, leaving a little particulate on the tongue. It has a medium-thick consistency, netting it a velvety texture. Overall, a big stout loaded with tasty additives.
