(review from September 2024) See previous reviews of various versions of DD from BKS, this iteration w/the same good balance/mouthfeel; thick haze; nice aroma&hoppy bite + a citrusy/fruity/juicy/slightly earthyish flavor & a lingering, resiny aftertaste. Very dangerously quaffable indeed and a smooth fooler of an 8.5%er!

Pours a bright orange with a hint of darkness and heavy saturation. Head is a pillowy finger-height layer of white foam that lingers well. Aroma is mango, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple and earthy hops. Big tropical fruits with a rindy bite at the finish. Flavor profile is grapefruit, mango, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest and grassy and earthy hops. It's lightly sticky, and when combined with the bready yeast finish, refrains from being completely centered on tropical fruits. There is a playful hop bite at the finish. Mouth feel is pillowy, but with a rindy texture. Thickness is medium. Overall, full and thick with quality tropical fruits along the way. Despite heavy tropical fruits, balance isn't centered on tropical fruits, which is a bit of welcome change.

Draft.
