(review from October 2022) Another exceptionally well balanced NE ipa from BKS with good mouthfeel, nice aroma, medium hoppiness, thick haze and a subtle citrusy/fruity/juicy flavor & slightly lingering aftertaste. Dangerously smooth and quaffable!

This Counterculture variant pours very opaque, between the colors of lemon and grapefruit juice. Green pepper, celery, and grapefruit all show up in the nose. The taste also has some green pepper-like flavors and a vegetal bitterness. Finishes light, with mango and bubblegum.

Pours an opaque pale orange with a dull saturation. Head is a finger of white foam with modest retention. Aroma is thick papaya, mango, tangerine and grapefruit. There is a little bready yeast, but not much. Flavor profile is papaya, tangerine, mango, orange and lemon zest with a hearty yeasty quality at the back. Yeast is akin to a heavy bread. Mouth feel is lightly creamy with a soft, pillowy carbonation and a medium thickness. Overall, big tropical fruits with a splendid demeanor and balance.
