(review from October 2022) Another stellar 2x NE ipa from BKS w/great balance/mouthfeel,thick haze, bigger hoppiness/bitterness than you'd expect from a NE & a big orangey/citrusy/fruity/juicy flavor & lingering aftertaste. Smooth fooler of an 8.5 %er but a little alcoholic backend

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a beautiful murky and opaque yellow with white head. Good lacing. The nose is bursting with tropical fruit. Mango, papaya, pineapple, and juicy oranges. I get a nice resin note after a bit. A bit dank. Wet leather. Pine. Really nice!
The taste nicely follows the nose. A wonderful mix of tropical fruit and hop bite. Mango and pineapple mostly. Pine, resin, and grapefruit. Actually the grapefruit becomes quite dominant as time goes by. Really interesting, and I personally love grapefruit.
Mouthfeel is dry and fairly light. Overall, a really well-executed DIPA.

Pours an opaque orange that looks like the flesh of a tangerine-orange combo. Head is two fingers of dense white foam. Aroma is ripping with tropical fruits off the front - papaya, tangerine, and orange zest coming to the forefront, with piney, resiny, grassy, earthy hops behind. That contrast of tropical fruit sweetness with slightly bitter hops at the back adds depth and texture to the aroma. Flavor profile is along the same lines - papaya, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, and grassy, earthy hops. Again, opening up slightly sweet, and again, finishing just slightly bitter. In terms of discernable bitterness, this one leans more towards middle of the road for IPAs, that is to say, not a sugary sweet NE IPA 'murk bomb', but also not a West Coast biting IPA. That balance is welcome, adding some depth and contrast to each sip. Mouth feel is slightly chalky with an initially abrasive effervescence that bubbles down to a more soft, pulpy texture. Overall, between the contrast in hop profiles, and the changing texture from start to end of sip, this NE IPA brings about a lot of intrigue. It's not one dimensional, especially compared with other NE IPAs.

Pours an opaque gold - off--white head that collapses quickly. Aroma has lots of citrus, as does the taste. Orange, grapefruit, a little pineapple (I know, not a citrus, but still), and finishes with a light resiny bitterness that transitions into a fruit-like sweetness.
