Pours black with three fingers of caramel colored foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is heavy roasty and toasty malts with lactose and milk chocolate just behind. Caramel and toffee add some further sweetness. Malt presence is heavy enough to keep this from leaking into overly sweet and sugary, with the chocolate more of a balanced decadent cocoa nibs as opposed to sugary supermarket candy chocolate bar. Flavor profile roasty, toasty, and mild nutty malts. Cocoa nibs and milk chocolate bring decadence to each sip. Mild toffee, caramel, and lactose add extra depth. As a whole, it's balanced towards neutral, again with the malts keeping the chocolate from running off into cloyingly sweet territory. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a creamy texture that adds to the decadence. Overall, a fantastic milk stout that uses chocolate addition to its benefit and not detriment.
