(review from October 2022) Tasty, well balanced ipa with more hoppiness than you'd expect from a NE with thickish haze, good mouthfeel, wonderful aroma & a citrusy/grapefruity/juicy/piney flavor and lingering backend. Very smooth and quaffable for a 7%er.

Pours orange with an opaque translucency. Head is two fingers of white foam, with good retention. Aroma is pine, mild resin, herbal, and tropical fruits. It has a neutral sweetness. Flavor profile tags herbal, resin, grass, then big tropical fruits from start to finish. Juicy finish, with a semi-sweet overall flavor profile. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a soft, creamy texture. Overall, big and sticky, not just big tropical fruits.

This Counterculture variant pours a dark lemonade color and is complete opaque. Large amounts of delicate lacing. The aroma is somewhat nondescript, with some green pepper and bitter citrus elements. The taste is noticeable more layered; orange citrus, bubblegum, a bit of pine, and a hint of green pepper. The mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy, and finishes clean with a mix of citrus and bubblegum. The elements all come together quite nicely.
