Review for Bike (2022). Sold to commemorate Bike to Work day.

Pours a pale yellow with an electric tint. Translucency is opaque. Two fingers of fluffy white foam for head. Aroma is flush with tropical fruits, but in a more dainty arrangement than BKS's or others NE IPA's (yes, this is not an IPA - well aware of that.) Papaya, tangerine, and grapefruit carry the tropical fruit notes that flow over doughy malts. There is a light bubblegum quality underneath, which undercuts some of the beautiful hop texture. Flavor profile is the same tropical fruits, arriving in waves as opposed to one huge blast of flavor. In the troughs between waves are doughy malts and very light bubblegum. Bubblegum quality here is lighter than the aroma, but is still present. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with an initial prickly effervescence that bubbles down to a still, chalky texture at the finish. Overall, crushable and flavorful without being as potent as an IPA. For that reason, it would make for a wonderful post-ride beer, when dehydration has kicked in and strong flavors are not necessarily desired. Subjective, but the can art for 2022 is fantastic as well.

Served in a 15.5 Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can. Reviewed from notes.

Bike pours a very pale yellow and is slightly hazy. Moderate carbonation and minimal lacing. The aroma is grassy, with some tropical citrus. The taste has mango and orange. The mouthfeel is very light, and finishes with a light tartness and slightly resinous.

Can purchased from the brewery 6/4/2021.
