Pours an opaque matte orange with the brightness pushed up a touch. Head is two and a half fingers of dense white foam. Aroma is ripe and ripping hop notes that sing a catchy tune. Papaya, grapefruit, and orange zest form the melody, offering a sweet-leaning profile, with lemon rind, melon, herbal and grassy notes offering a baseline. It's hops through and through, with a notable brightness or buoyancy to it. Flavor profile is the same qualities - papaya, mango, grapefruit, orange zest, lemon rind, melon, and herbal and grassy hops, followed up by orange, in order from strongest to weakest. The tropical fruits ripping off the front end add some modest sweetness right out of the gate, with a little more balance coming towards the end. Finish features an orange juice quality, which remains well balanced into the profile, offering up just one last wring of citrus. Again, just as it smells, the flavor carries a notable brightness or buoyancy. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a sharp initial effervescence that is soothed out by light pulpy texture that comes inconsistently - almost like slub on a pair of high end denim - organic, but inconsistent. Overall, between the ripping hops, notable brightness, and texture, this one hits hard, packing a lot into each whiff, sniff, and sip.
