Pours black with two fingers of caramel foam. Aroma is chocolate and marzipan. Chocolate is milk chocolate, and leans more towards sweet, while the marzipan adds thick sugary fig and bready notes underneath. Toasty, roasty, and caramely malts form the base. Flavor profile drives forward the same notes - thick milkd chocolate with decadent marzipan just beyond. Roasty, toasty, caramely, and bready malts form a firm, but sweet, base. Dessert beer without forcing itself in the diabetic-inducing realm of sweetness. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a creamy texture. Overall, great notes added on top of a smooth, creamy stout base.
