Galactic Escapism pours with the color and opacity of grapefruit juice. A large, white head forms and dissipates quickly. moderate lacing. The smell is mostly bitter citrus, but with some pine elements as well. The taste is also a bit more pine-forward than is typical for BKS IPAs, but it balances well here. The mouthfeel is full and slightly warming.

Can purchased from the brewery 10/20/2021.

Pours an opaque bright orange with two and a half fingers of snow-white foam. Aroma is big-time tropical fruits, hitting grapefruit, tangerine, and guava along the way - and hard. It's tropical fruits through and through, bright tropical fruits. Flavor profile is grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon, and guava with some sticky resin behind. Focal point is the tropical fruits with just a little bit of grist and stick at the back. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a gritty, pulpy texture that gives this beer a big presence. Overall, absolutely loaded with hops, and combined with a hearty mouth feel, and this double IPA drinks more like an experience or a sipper than anything else.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.
