Received from @harrison8. No evident canning date but it appears to be about 4 weeks old. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours an opaque, bright dirty-yellow with a half finger of foamy, bright white head and thick coating of lacing. A nice, fruity aroma of lemon, tangerine, pineapple, and ripe melon. Its taste just pops with tart citrus. There is lemon and grapefruit with understated sweeter notes of melon. It appears the brewery added New Zealand Riwaka hops to the base hop bill of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. It has that hard-to-describe, fresh tropical taste in addition to the citrus and hop bitterness. The mouth feel is crisp and clean with fairly lively carbonation, and it drinks easily at 7% ABV. Overall, this ale is a good "heartland" example of a New England-style IPA that is fruity and very enjoyable.

The 4th anniversary Counterculture variant pours yellowish-gold and is completely opaque. An off-white head that slowly collapses. Moderate lacing. The aroma is full of mango, grapefruit, and a hint of malt.
The taste follows up on the tropical citrus and has just enough malt backbone to keep the juiciness from dominating. The mouthfeel has cream-like elements and finishes exceptionally smooth.
Can purchased from the brewery 10/20/2021.

Pours a murky dirty orange color. Head is two fingers of white foam. Aroma is papaya, mango, melon, and tangerine with that rindy melon really popping through at the end. Flavor profile is tangerine, mango, melon, and orange arranged in a dense formation. The tropical fruits are ripe and full with melon adding a bit of rindy grit to the edges. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a light chalky texture. Overall, a hearty NE IPA that delivers across the board.
