Pours pitch black with three fingers of mocha colored foam. Aroma is strong, semi-fruity coffee with roasty, toasty, caramely malts just behind. Coffee is lively, striking notes of fruity, jammy, and lime along the way. Nice and vibrant aroma that focuses on the simplistic pairing of hearty stout and top notch coffee. Flavor profile is more of that simple pairing. Roasty, toasty, caramely malts create a firm base, with a little coffee drizzled over the top. Coffee is medium in body, and still offers up some fruity qualities - though they are not as pronounced as the nose. Molasses, milk & dark chocolate round out the flavor profile, with that dark chocolate bitterness coming on towards the end. Alcohol is absent from view, despite this hitting in at double digits. Mouth feel is thick with a creamy, lush texture. Overall, a full, lush, and creamy imperial stout that uses its resources to focus on and showcase coffee.
