Pours the color of lemon juice; nearly completely opaque. Pours with a large, off-white head that slowly dissipates. Moderate lacing.
The aroma is more resin-forward than most BKS IPAs, with the grapefruit taking a back seat. This follows through to the taste, which doesn’t quite have the citrus balance typically seen in these beers. Finishes with a light, juice-like tartness.
Can purchased from the brewery 2/1/2022.

Pours a matte orange with heavy haze obscuring the transparency. Head is two and a half fingers of fluffy white foam. Aroma is papaya, grapefruit, melon, berries, herbal, and grassy hops. It's a long list of descriptors, but it swings from tropical fruits to notes of the prairie. It leans into sweet the whole way. Flavor profile is papaya, grapefruit, melon, red berries, and mild herbal hops. It leans more into tropical fruits in the flavor profile than the nose, developing a higher level of sweetness. That sweetness is checked at the end by grassy and herbaly hops, and some offsetting bitterness. Really rich all the way through. Mouth feel is fluffy, and creamy with a medium-thick consistency. Overall, the hop selections here keep this one engaging, and not just a big ol' bowl of fruit. It's balanced, creamy, and juicy, without ever being overly sweet.
Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.
