Pours a dull orange with a heavy opaque translucency. Head is two and a half fingers of white foam. Aroma is thick papaya, tangerine, guava, grapefruit, and red berry for hops, and fruity yeast just beyond. Big time tropical fruits, with a dense, wonderful consistency. Flavor profile is red berry, papaya, grapefruit, tangerine, guava, and orange zest with a little melon and fruity yeast behind. Dense tropical fruits from start to finish, but maintains balance well. On draft, it had a slight hop green burn underneath, but very light - not picking that up from the canned version. Granted, draft version was noted during anniversary party, but the can is consumed/reviewed about two weeks later. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a soft, slightly pillowy texture. Overall, really ripe and full. Good red berry and grapefruit notes.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can and a draft from BKS during Anniversary Party #6. Reviewed live from can, but included notes from draft.
