(review from December 2023) Another exceptionally well balanced 2x NE DD from BKS w/the usual thick haze&good mouthfeel, this iteration w/nice aroma&bitter/hoppy bite but a sharp-kinda dirty-earthy/citrusy/piney/resiny/malty flavor&mouthcoating finish (must be the Vista hops?) Still smooth-ish but every bit its advertised 8.5%!

Pours orange with some green highlighter to it. Opaque in translucency. Head is two fingers of dense white foam. Aroma is thick papaya, grapefruit, and melon, with more minor notes of melon dew, fruity yeast, and doughy malts. As it warms, pineapple and strawberry develop in the tropical fruit hop blast at the start. Flavor profile is papaya, grapefruit, guava, mango, tangerine, and strawberry. Doughy malts add some support, but are very faint. Fruity yeast adds some extra flavor. As it warms, it develops a pineapple juice note, further building on the tropical fruits. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a creamy, soft texture. Overall, a very fun, full sipper for those seeking tropical fruits in their beer.
