Pours black with two fingers of khaki foam that form reluctantly. Aroma is coconut - thick. Vanilla bean, maple, and banana sit just behind, all bold, but not as dominate as the coconut. Cocoa nibs and coffee come in secondary. Roasty and toasty malts underneath. Leans sweet, but catches its balance just tipping into cloying sweetness. Flavor additives remain well balanced. Flavor profile is a puree of coconut, banana, maple, and coffee. Cocoa nibs come on a little as it warms. Not quite as sugary as the nose implies. Roasty and toasty malts underneath it all. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a soft, fuzzy texture. Overall, nice depth with flavor additives developing a nice aroma and flavor profile.
