(review from November 2025) #TIPAThursday. See previous reviews of various versions of Big Spender, this iteration with all the usual good qualities but a more earthy, less citrusy/juicy flavor (must be the Eggers hops?). Still a smooth fooler of a 10%er & dangerously quaffable tho!

Pours a firm orange color with an opaque translucency. Head is a few fingers of white foam. Aroma is thick papaya, mango, and pineapple. It's dense & full, with a more narrow band of notes. Flavor profile is rich mango, pineapple, papaya, and grapefruit with some orange zest sprinkled around the corners. Deep tropical fruits with a dense flow. Mouth feel is medium-thick in consistency. Texture is soft and creamy. Overall, a really full and dense tropical fruit focused IPA. Depth and oomph matches the ABV.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can.
