Bought a growler when visited Kearny. Poured a very hazy brown with very light amber hues that are noticed when held to the light. The foam is pour and limits the retention and lacing to the glass.

The smell is light but strong notes of cloves and Belgium dark candi are noticed. Limited malt smell but spices dominate.

The taste is very spice oriented. At first there is a sweet malt, that is mostly basic two row tasted, but mixed with the candi for a sweet overall taste. Then the spices come out and really overpower any other tastes. Coriander and cloves mostly.

The body is of a medium grade. Overall I would say too much spice flavor and needs for malt complexity. But still a good beer to drink.

It comes a dark black/amber when held to the light. Head soon goon to a wispy doily of lace across the top. Slight ring.

Very estery in the nose. Very fruity/ corianderish but predominantly malt.

A little toasted malt on the back of the tongue, but it compliments it well. Sweet malty flavors with an all-round good mouthfeel, as with all Platte Valley beers.

An all around pretty drinkable beer.
