The name Stair Walker makes a coy reference to the necessity of climbing as many as 30 or 40 steps to get to the bar at the Horsefeathers restaurant. Unfortunately, by the time you get there, youll want a better beer than this one. This pale wheat ale has a buff white head and golden oak color. But it bears a heavy imprint from the house yeast strain that subdues the malts and brings out a bullish bitterness dragging a difficult finish behind it. I liked the stray, fragmentary lace, but just couldnt cozy to the beer as a whole.
