Draft at brewpub. Dark amber with red overtones, small creamy head. Bready aroma, pumpernickel . Taste too goes malty fast, dark bread, rye mustiness. Leather, tobacco, dry leaves. Nice fall beer

Snacks and beer with my buddy JMelder...
Big ole pint at Bar Gernika in Boise... Pours fairly clear... deeper amber than expected... nice lacing and retention for an off white head.
Nose is shows plenty of CCC hops with a bigger hit of dry toast and something that makes me think of dusty cocoa.
Flavor is a great mix of light toasty malt and big PNW pithy citrus hops.. again a little cocoa/chocolate moves forward with the malt near the finish, but there is no doubt that this is a hoppy player.. the rye is an interesting component.
Light/medium body... pretty drinkable. Great and unexpected, hoppy for sure (even for BB standards) with a interesting malty take that BB hasn't ventured too far into yet... I appreciate it and would suggest more experimentation is prudent. You haven't screwed up yet! Keep the balanced malty/CCC hoppiness coming!
Proper.
