Lush, ruddy cerise color. Dark and pretty with a yeasty nose and full lace. With the exception of a few off notes in the aroma, everything about Elkhorn is sensible, balanced and easy.
Appropriately enough, I drank this red ale as the Red Sox made their historic comeback against the Yankees. Just goes to show how important color coordination can be during beer sessions and playoff series.
