Draft at BB brewpub. Clear, pale golden, skimpy white head. Light grainy, malty aroma, hint of hops. Taste continues with a light pale malt backbione, grainy flavors. Smooth

a tasty golden ale here with some malt flavor to it more than most and in typical barley browns fashion, a relatively hoppy finish for the style. this is way more robust in taste and feel than most of these ever are, and i appreciate that, especially with the abv still being so low, its kind of the best of both worlds. the beer is brass colored, darker for the style by a shade or two, and holds a nice white head from the tap, fluffy and creamy looking at the same time. aroma here is more grain than anything else, especially with a more or less invisible yeast profile. the malt has a honey note to it and maybe a slightly concentrated character, maybe a longer boil here than is common, not sure, but its also fresh and earthy and carries the flavor. the hops come on late, a light orange and vegetal note to them, fresh as well, and without very much bitterness at all, even as this warms up a little bit. kind of just a two dimensional drinker in that regard, flavorful for what it is, but basic compared to many of the other beers i have had from these guys now. good for summer, and i like it being a little more hefty than most. these guys dont make a bad beer.
edit: had this at the brewery recently and i swear it was basically just a hoppy czech pils, lighter in color and malt character than i recall from the above review, crisper too, so minimal as to almost be watery if it werent for the hops, even slightly european, just a totally different beer than it was the first time i had it. not sure if they were calling it a pils or not, but it definitely leads with pils malt flavor. still highly refined and delicious, but quite a bit different than i remember, more summery, did they switch up the recipe and keep the name?

Exactly what you'd hope for and expect.
Brilliantly clear straw golden color, light grain and honey in the aroma and flavor. Low hop influence other than to balance with the slightest touch of freshly cut grass. Easy, light and crisp drinking beer, but much better than grandpa's bullshit AAL.
Cheers
