16 oz can from Treefort. Bright, clear golden , fading head, streaky lacing. Aroma features resinous hops and some subdued bready malts. Sticky, resinous feel, bitter. Rich biscuity malts. Solid, tasty, full.

a really tasty ipa from these guys, who seem to be doing hoppy beer as well as just about anyone out there right now. this i believe was done for the treefort music festival, but there is still some around town and its still tasting delicious, i could only imagine when it was brand new! this one is a little bit less than fully dry, with a distinct honey sweetness left in it from the malt, but otherwise pale and golden and rather light, no richer or darker grains at all here, and i like the foundational simplicity. the hops are what this is all about, and the bit of sweetness seems to highlight the fruity notes, sweet juicy orange, sliced pineapple, and a bit of a weed note as well. i like there being some moderate bitterness at the end, and i like it being clear, makes it so much more drinkable than a lot of the heavy hazy beers that are nothing but dry hopped. medium body, a little bigger as it warms, with some lively carbonation and a resinous sort of feel from the hops, an almosts sticky thing, that keeps it feeling as fresh as it tastes. not overly complex but it doesnt need to be. nice beer here, i have been loving these guys lately!
