an outstanding and very contemporary pale ale, simple in a good way, but the hop profile sparkles, and this is fresh, crushable, and interesting, relatively mild which i think lends to its appeal as a volume drinker, and to me somewhat distinctive on the hop side, almost a sorachi ace type lemon curd thing to it, although doubtful that varietal is in play here, notes of white florals, clean lemon, even vanilla, but all quite dry and on top of a simple grain base that could be nothing more than pils malt, nicely refined overall, low bitterness, ideal for springtime weather which is finally hitting. honey colored, nice and clear, short white head from the tap, persistent carbonation, looks basic but bright. the nose here is fresh and unique, but not as striking as the flavor, meyer lemon, lemon verbena, honeysuckle, melon rind lushness, white grapefruit and its pith, and just a little floral vanilla, like the way its actually an orchid, weird in a hoppy beer, uncommon i should say, but real appealing. light pale barley balance, all very fresh, restrained bitterness for sure. the flavor is similar but turned up, plenty of front end citrus, cut flowers, juicy without being sweet, just enough malt in play here, racing carbonation quickening it with the light body, a post swallow hop climax which is cool, lychee, yellow starburst candy, a melon thing, just awesome, but still fast. great food beer, a total all day drinker, very modern for these guys, extremely well done. would love to know what the hops are!

Draft at Hops & Bottles. Clear golden pour, head settles quickly. Hoppy aroma with notes of both pine and citrus. Taste favors the pine, mild resinous notes, fruity, lingering bitterness. Sticky finish.
