Growler from The Big Man, consumed while watching Bruins get the sh*t kicked out of them by Spoiled Children (Goodbye Slick Rick), shared with neighborhood beer buddy, poured into tulip glasses, 11.26.11.
One finger slightly off-white head, fairly quick dissipation with minimal lacing on top of orangish amber clear body, a few lazy bubbles rising to surface. Nose is fairly citrusy, oranges, some soft floral notes and a bit of resiny spice. Taste is straightforward Barley Brown's, big hop attack, citrus with some mild resins, fairly bitter on the back end, got more so as the beer warmed. Mouthfeel is soft, not a lot of effervescence, not overly carbonated. An interesting one off, 10 (!) additions of Amarillos made this different than Shawn's other IPAs. With impending expansion, the though of a series of single hop IPAs (in addition to more regular brewing of Chaos :) ) is food for thought for NW Hopheads. One of the more easy drinking IPAs I've had in a long time.
