On tap at the brewpub, thanks Tyler!
Clear medium brown with garnet highlights, a few streams of lazy rising bubbles under tan head, medium dissipation with good lacing. Pretty unique aromas for the style, quite a dose of citrus hops to balance out the huge malt bill, a wee bit of roast but more biscuit than bread. Taste is a bit on the sweet side up front, but the citrus hop present a nice out of balance bitterness for the style on the backend. Mouthfeel on the light side of medium, good effervescence, though the ABV is pretty noticeable. Absolutely not to style, but that's what makes this new offering right up The Usual Suspects alley. May change what you think about American Brown Ales from blah blah blah to what the hell is this :)
