Presentation: Draft, served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: Tan two finger head and a pure, deep black color.
Smell: The pine resin hoppy scent attacks the nose right away with little else coming through.
Taste: A delicious blend of piney hop, roasted malt coffee notes and a touch of
smokeyness. With this mix of bold flavors, the balance is impressive. There's no single thing that overpowers the others.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with medium-light carbonation. It goes down smooth.
Overall: The great combination of flavors attack the pallate (in a good way) but are kept in check by the light bodied lager character. A well executed, fresh style that's a welcome addition to the local beer scene. Zurc cement themselves as the best Puerto Rican brewery operating right now.
