Presentation: 32 oz. crowler with the canning date written on the label. Served in a stein.
Appearance: The thick, rocky, bright white, two finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a lot of bubbly lacing. It's a slightly hazy, beautiful bright gold color.
Smell: The warm, grainy malt aroma melds beautifully with the floral hoppiness. There's also some honey and a hint of herbs toward the end as well.
Taste: It wraps up the palate in a warm, mildly sweet, malty, bread and honey blanket that's just fantastic. There's almost no bitterness but a faint, floral hoppy flavor is there at the end to change things up.
Mouthfeel: It's light, smooth, refreshing and easy to drink with medium-low carbonation.
Overall: An awesome Festbier from a small town in a tropical island that can go toe to toe with any of the six juggernauts that are served at the Wiesn every year. It looks great, the aroma is well balanced and the flavor is just wonderful. Without a doubt, Zurc is making the best beers in Puerto Rico right now.
