Rebecca is the counterpart (in name) to our Blonde Ale Abigail, named for the Scituate sister soldiers who took up musical arms and drove the British army into retreat in the War of 1812 (read up on our Abigail Blonde for more on this story).
This toffee, malty brown ale, brewed with Munich, Caramel, and Chocolate malts, is smooth and damn delicious.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Toffee, Malty

Had to try this since my daughter's name is Rebecca
Big foamy tan head, fizzy, nice retention and soapy lacing, clear but dark brown chestnut color
Nose toasted biscuity brown malts, mild cookie wafer, hint of caramel, toffee, hint of coffee and some chocolate notes, hint of spicy hop
Taste a bit more spicy hop notes, sweet brown malts toasted mild biscuity, toffee, hint caramel, mild chocolate and coffee, fluffy nougat notes, hops getting a fair spicy bitterness, maybe little bitterness from the malts too, drier finish
Mouth is med bod little soft creamy, nice creamy carb
Overall pretty nice, very solid brown, good balance but not too boring either
