Not far from our brewery in the cold waters off our coastline stands Minot Light, a lighthouse flashing 1-4-3 to signal "I Love You." For over a century, this message of love has protected ships from the dangerous, rocky seas around them. Pale 143 is a nod to all who have stood on the ocean's edge and felt the same love from that eternal light.

Pale 143 is a pale ale hopped with Columbus, Cascade, Amarillo, and Citra. It greets you with bright valencia orange and mango flavors along with subdued peach notes, and finishes with a subtle bitterness.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Citrusy, Bright

Poured from a 16 oz can purchased in Hull, MA; born on 9/26/2022 (fresh). Pours translucent yellow with minimal head. Bright citrus flavors with subtle bitter hops. Slightly sour on the end which isn't unpleasant. Good.

NO can date
Pours a med fizzy bubbly 1 finger head with med retention, hint of lacing, mostly clear light straw to tan color

Nose is quite nice, bright hops, citrus, fruity notes in general, floral and a little grassy, touch spicy piney, nice Cascadian hops, light cereal grain malt

Taste more hops up front, fresh Cascadian hops again with light citrus, fruity notes, floral grassy and a bit of pine, light cereal grain and mild sweet malt, med-lighter bitterness at first, then getting to higher spicy hop bitterness on the finish like a good pale ale, drier finish, long finish with more light pine and citrus as well

Mouth is med bod, med fizzy prickly carb

Overall pretty nice, quite enjoyable old school pale ale, not quite IPA level so glad they called it a pale, well done
