This beer poured a dingy, cloudy, straw color, with a big head that shrank but persisted. There was a mild, tropical aroma with notes of citrus and pineapple. The flavor had little malt character, but had a mellow, pithy character and subtle sweet flavors similar to the aroma. Medium-light mouthfeel with high carbonation. The fruity flavors slowly disappeared in the finish, leaving a faint but persistent pithy bitterness. A pretty nice beer, but I found the dingy appearance and pithy flavor unappealing.

Pale yellow-orange with a finger of soupy, cream-colored head. Solid lacing.
Tropical aroma of papaya and melon with light pineapple, mango and cream behind.
Watery creamed papaya in the taste. Mineral water and a little pepper and grass on the backend.
On the thinner side of medium bodied with zippy carbonation.
Really nice flavors, but too watered down to my taste. An imperial version of this would be killer.
