Burg is a dutch brewery/beershop.
Dutch strong dark 'bokbeer', seasonal beer.
It won first prize in Netherlands in category strong bokbeers 2009.
Dark brown colour, with a thin head, moderate lacing.
Smell and taste are fresh hops, great roasted malts, that even generate a bit of coffee and tobacco. Hardly sweet, but very powerfull.
Slight bittersweet aftertaste.
Very clean and smooth, it goes down very easy, even at 9 % abv.
It holds very strong resemblance with Belgian ales such as Gulden Draak and Pauwel Kwak. It's a seasonal beer from, what i've understood, a relatively new brewery set-up. It promises great further brews.
