Germans are not historically known for their IPAs but they grow some really great hops for them, so we used all German hops in this IPA. Featuring Hallertau Blanc and Mandarina Bavaria, expect notes of mandarin, grapefruit, pineapple, and grape.

No canning date
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear (20% clarity), deep and rich orange color with a strong off-white head. SRM of 14. (4.25)
Aromas: Mild aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, and grape. (3.75)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of tangerine and floral grapefruit upfront. Evolves into to some tea notes in the middle. Hints of sweet grape never quite evolve. A yeasty, lightly bitter finish. (3.50)
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Yeasty and clean on the end, light bitterness. (3.75)
Overall: Definitely an interesting beer and bold to make a "German" IPA, but apparently that is because it uses German hops. Some decent fruit flavors that never quite evolve, some tea notes. Yeasty on the end. It's decent, sort of reminds of an English Pale Ale. (Rating: 3.68)
