Appearance: Pours a deep ruby brown color with a bronze dark hue. A moderate off-white head. SRM of 19-20. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of dark cocoa, brown bread, black, malt, and grains. Earthy and yeasty finish. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of dark cocoa, black, malt, greens, and yeast. And earthy and floral finish. (4.25)
Feel: Medium bodied, strong, carbonation, finishes, yeast, bread and clean. (4.00)
Compared to Modist Pretty Metal 1/2024: Pours lighter, milder head. More earthy bread malts and yeast. Less dark cocoa and roasted notes. More smooth and clean.
Compared to Bent Paddle False Hibernation 3/2024: Pours similar, Milder head. Less dark bread and earthy notes. More roasted chocolate and bittersweet. Sweeter and heavier.
Compared to Phase Three Czech Dark 3/2024: Pours lighter, milder head. Stronger aromas. Less dark grains, roast, and earth. More rich chocolate.
Compared to Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel 4/2024: Pours darker, milder head and aromas. more black malt and roast. Less brown bread, earth, nuts. Dryer.
Overall: This is an upcoming Minnesota brewery that makes some great German beer. This is a fantastic Czech Dark Lager. Dark, roasted, bittersweet, but yet bready, earthy, and smooth. (Rating: 4.10)

Pours a slight hazed mahogany color with some ruby highlights. Smell has roasted chocolate malts . Taste has citrus chocolate smoke and burnt bread . A crisp and toasty mouthfeel full flavored at less than 5%
