Deep brown color, slightly muddy. Pours a nice tan colored head with good retention. On the dark side for a bock.

Nice rich malty nose - pure malt in the aroma - nothing else.

Rich melanoidin malt flavor. Definitely a richer malty flavor than a typical 5% malty lager. Fairly well balanced (not overly sweet), and finishes a bit toasty/roasty but otherwise clean.

Medium body, medium-high carbonation.

A bit of a wacky concept, but I liked it. Might work better with a grain bill tweak into a nice Vienna Lager.

This is as advertised: a session bock. This makes it milder than standard bocks, which is okay. But that also takes away from some of the draw of drinking a bock. It’s certainly good enough to have a few.
