Served on tap in a goblet at the brewery.
Look: Black, with a small tan foam ring that left no lacing.
Nose: Bourbon, and milk chocolate that covers any fragrance of the dark roast.
Attack: Follows the nose closely; so closely that the milk chocolate rather buries the dark roast flavor aspect I would have anticipated.
Finish: Some bitterness, I think from the roast.
Mouthfeel: Medium, adequate carbonation.
Overall: I think this beer is trying to be a Founders CBS, or a Half Acre Double Barrel Benthic. While adequate, it falls a bit short in balance — a stronger roasted malt flavor would add significantly.

From the growler via Growler Stop in a snifter. This solid brew pours a dark
blackish brown with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring and
thin dusty layer with light lacing. Nose of toasted coconut, dark chocolate, char,
brulee, vanilla, and touches of coffee. Flavors follow nicely with rich coffee, dark
chocolate, cream, brulee, toasted coconut, char, some smoke, and deep roast with
hints of dark fruits. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich, coating, moderately
dry in a smokey sense, and light carbonation.
Overall, a solid little brew that is a great base for the delicious BBA version
Cheers

Look - black syrup with a nice initial tan head
Smell - smells like maverick chocolate that my wife loves, Along with heavy booze vanilla and some toasty roasty malts
Taste - not as heavy chocolate as the scent but it’s still incredibly great
Feel - medium body with a light carbonation. Could use more body but still good
Overall - really incredibly chocolate stout
