Served on tap at the brewery in a mug.
Look: Black, with a 1-finger off-white head that quickly reduced to a slight foam ring; no lacing.
Nose: Dark roast, a hint of coffee, a hint of licorice, a hint of cooked brown sugar.
Attack: Mostly dark roast, though more thinly flavored than I might have wished.
Finish: Just a hint of bitterness from the roast.
Mouthfeel: Medium, adequate carbonation.
Overall: Quite drinkable; an adequate example of the style. I’d certainly drink it again if the occasion presented, though I wouldn’t go out of my way to search it out.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This excellent dark Czech lager pours a
dark brownish black, verging on a schwarz beer, with a nice head
of off white foam that sizzles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and
displays some nice light lacing. Nose of dark roasted malts, faint
coffee, subtle cocoa, and touches of caramel. Flavors just make a
perfect hit with balanced light cocoa, faint coffee, dark roast,
and light herbal hops all in excellent balance. Nice mouth feel;
medium light body, medium light carbonation, and a lightly dry
finish.
Overall, one of the best dark lagers I have had to date.
Cheers
