Poured from can into glass, good 2 finger tan head, soso retention and great lacing. Jet black to look at, no light passes thru. Smells predominately of bourbon, vanilla and slight roast malt. Taste is initially roasted malt, slight chocolate, nice smooth bourbon notes. Deft hand with the barrel aging on this one. Somewhat thin, but aids in making this an easy drinker. This brewery wasn't even on my radar, one of the best ones I hit when in dallas
