Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Nearly crystal bodied with a touch of faint haze, giving to a pale colored amber possibly hinting towards orange as well. Head creation is classic good sized three fingers at first but actually settles quickly with a little bit of lacing, a bleach really bright white color, and a flattened top and good sized collar.
Aroma hints more towards minimal pine, and crispy malt qualities. Faded? Possibly, but no can dating provides clues. Sticky sensing and slightly tropical but kind of buried also. Pleasant but without fault, but nothing real attention grabbing either.
Palate makes some decent improvements. Juiced up body, but not overly grand, showing an almost melon to tropical juice flavor in the mid palate. Hits a little bit dank also, with mixing tropical finish but muted and almost heavy in feel, luckily staying away from syrup or sickly sweet flavors. Slight hinting tangerine sweetness then mixing a mushy tropical melon on the finish which comes almost of like expired fruit. Minimal bitterness and astringency.
The mix of distinct yeast and hop profile comes off a bit unexpected. Still making a good IPA but not ground breaking in flavor.
