From the 22 oz bottle in a snifter. Labeled as "Award Winning" this nice stout pours
a deep blackish brown with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin light
layer, and shows some nice sudsy lacing. Nose of dark fruits with wafts of blackberries
and raspberries mingling with dark chocolate and subtle hop notes. Flavors give rise to
dark fruit notes of blueberries and raspberries mingling with subtle balanced bourbon
and vanilla. Char touched oak notes show on the middle with a char touched marshmallow
flavor and dark roasted malts and dark chocolate with mild floral hops on the rear. Nice mouth
feel; full, rich, light carbonation, and a lightly sweet and char touched chocolate and mild coffee
finish.
Overall a solid brew that is moderately complex and satisfying. Nice.
Cheers
