On tap at Birreria Volo in Toronto, Ontario.
This one pours a light golden orange color, light tints of amber, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells terrifically toasty, with some light floral notes, and a touch of bittersweet caramel.
This is quite good – it’s light, so to speak, but still with a dense and complex malt backbone to it. There’s lots of toastiness, a touch of caramel, and a crusty bread sort of vibe. There’s also a very pleasantly floral and slightly lemony hop character.
This is light bodied, crisp, and clean, with a great drinkability.
I have to assume that Volo is only going to collaborate with brewery that’ll make them good beer, so I’m not surprised that this is quite tasty.
