i think its insane that the haze craze has permeated such a mature and traditional beer market like the english one with a beer like this, i mean, nobody is immune to this right now, and im sure every brewer thinks they are some kind of artist offering something new when they quick can a pint of one of these, but i am getting fatigued of them, and i was a little bummed to see such an obviously american beer in london like this. not because its bad, but because its pretty copycat as far as i am concerned. its real think, raw and unrefined looking from the can, almost gross, definitely on the edge of that, but the nose is nice, that classic pushing over saturated dry hop profile, simcoe, citra, and mosaic again, lots and lots of mosaic comes out, seems fresh though, fruity and appealing, i wish it tasted as good as it smelled. a little green to me, and overly starchy in feel, like heavy enough to turn my gut a bit, even unintentionally bitter as a result of all the hops, its just over the top, the definition of excess, and it carries some sweetness through as well that it doesnt really need. the whole thing just feels a little forced, like it got motivated by instragram rather than a real unique thought. in any event, i dont hate it, i was just surprised to see it. not sure how it would do against the best in the style from the states...

Hazy peach color with off-white head. Aroma has overripe peach notes, juicy hops and a bit of vanilla. Taste follows with juicy hops, some overripe fruits, peach, grapes and a light bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice, juicy DIPA.
