Popped in on a Friday night to meet up with some family after their rehearsal dinner. The place was definitely busy, but the staff were friendly and you never had to wait long to get a drink. Really cool space with lots of vintage beer memorabilia and big windows looking in on the brewhouse. Always love seeing that. In the middle of this sizeable warehouse space is a central walk up bar surrounded by plenty of seating options from tables and chairs to comfy couches, with a shuffleboard table and a whole room full of pinball machines to keep you entertained. The beers selection was pretty good, covered light, sour, malty, dark and barrel aged, and of course a good number of hoppy options. Unfortunately, that's where things start to slow down. The beers I tried were... fine. It's not like they had obvious flaws, they were just underwhelming. If a new glass appeared in front of me I wouldn't turn it away, but nothing jumped out and made me want more. If you just want to hang out and have fun with a glass of something cold and wet you could do a lot worse. If it's more about the beer, I'd look elsewhere.

I visited 7 Seas in the Tacoma Brewery District a month or so ago. Wow, what a huge place! The taproom is a ginormous industrial space with a big island bar, picnic tables, bistro tables, couches — just really welcoming. There are windows into the equally ginormous brewhouse, as well -- a feature I always appreciate. They have board games and pinball machines too - a pretty cool hang!

As far as beer, their taplist is equally large -- 19 beers on tap when I visited, spanning a broad range of styles; I went with a taster flight to sample a few things. One of the beers they brew is a revival of an old Tacoma brand called Heidelberg, which was actually not bad at all. The brown ale and the hazy IPA were decent, although the other beers I tried didn't really grab me. Service at the bar, however, was excellent -- the bartender I talked with was really friendly and helpful.

this is an awesome space, i didnt realize it was not their original location when we visited, but they are definitely doing the production brewing here, will have to hit the other one next time too! its a huge space up on the hill overlooking everything, apparently another brewery was housed here a generation or two ago. the space is a big warehouse from the outside, inside you go up a flight of stairs to an expansive taproom area with the bar in the center, a separate food window on one side, the shining brewing equipment in the back, and a real casual layout, we found some couches by the window and settled into a nice relaxing beer drinking experience. they had a nice selection on the board at the bar, but we were both surprised the beers we ordered for the first round came in cans, it was definitely not clear from what looked like a draft list, but whatever, the beers were solid here. i enjoyed the wet hop ipa, the blackberry sour, and the pils all quite well, but i think the pils stood out as objectively the best, especially with a dozen incredibly fresh oysters from the food window, which i believe operates as a separate business, but is very much a part of the experience here, highly recommended! they didnt have anything overly ambitious on the list, but i thought what we had was solid. they seem to have the basics well covered anyway. the space is awesome, and it almost rises above the beer for me, a great place to just chill, tons of natural light, low key energy, and friendly service. im sure it pops off a lot more when the pandemic isnt raging, but i liked the vibe in here anyway. these guys seem like a cornerstone of the strong local scene here in tacoma, and we had a great time checking them out!

Huge space with tall ceilings. Their is a large bar area and tables with chairs and couches. Wish they had air conditioning, it was a little warm. Quality of the beer was above average. Service was friendly and helpful. We even got to speak with one of the owner/brewers. Selection was good several of their own beer on tap and a selection of beer, cider and kombucha from other companies as well. We had a charcuterie and cheese plate that was really good.

Really nice brewery, has food but not part of the brewery. You can bring your own food in also. Have a ton of beer on tap and a cider. Worth a look for anyone.
