440ml can from O'Brien's Off-License, Athlone (€3):
Clear golden & bright with a 3cm, bubbly white head & a lot of visible carbonation through the body; head retention is alright as well, slowly losing about a third of its height. The nose is light & basic, earthy lager hops & grassy notes with some basic adjuncts as well but it seems very run-of-the-mill with a bit of corn sweetness to finish. The taste is very light & clean too, lots of corn & pale malts with some hay & grassy flavours further on. It's quite light & drinkable but definitely basic with a very one dimensional pale lager taste that's not unlike an average macro offering.
