This does a decent enough job of tasting like lassi, capturing the fruity mango with yogurt like yeast, but the hops, while appreciated, due seem to detract a little from the overall impression. Not sweet, not savory, not juicy, but not enough to be hoppy, just caught in the middle. Smell is mostly hops and cardamom with some faint mango. Feel needs to be much creamier. Does go great with some samosas though!

I guess I am not a big fan of cardamon. I enjoyed the Hop Nawi mango and a few other beers from energy City but this one ended up a drain pour.

16oz can, shared with my wife. Super hazy mango colored ale with a thin and foamy off-white head. Sweet mango puree aroma with spicy cardamom in the background. Sweeter flavors with the mangoes at the forefront; plenty of cardamom adding a cinnamony spice; lactose adds sweetness; pineapple, lemon-lime, passion fruit, and grapefruit hop flavors come through periodically adding some bitterness. Full body, very creamy, hops are a bit hot on the throat, but overall bitterness is modest. Overall, the cardamom is a little too heavy handed, but it was definitely a unique beer to try.
