My good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a 16oz can of this beer. It poured a cloudy grapefruit juice color with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dank tropical fruit peel spice presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Pours a hazy light orange with thick, soft head.
Smell is juicy and citrusy with notes of pine, pineapple, grapefruit and a little bit of sweetness.
Taste is damned good. Juicy and crisp with huge citrusy notes as well as peach, pineapple and passionfruit. Solid bitterness and great balance. A little bit of hop burn but not an issue.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, a terrific IPA, with plenty of bitterness.

16oz can, dated 012920. A thick pillow of frothy ivory head caps an opaque light orange colored ale. Big aroma fills the nose with a hoppy bouquet of pine, zesty citrus & tropical fruit. Boldly hopped with zesty bitterness and notes of pine, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, green hops, and yes - some of that juniper berry flavor that the brewer mentions is present. Full, creamy, and resinous body, moderate carbonation, and a dry & bitter finish. Overall, it is a bit more bitter than some of the NEIPA's out there. I appreciate the bitterness with this one and it's got great flavors too! Another winner from Energy City!
