Pours a deep, dark golden brown with a two finger small bubbled head that leaves wonderful lacing behind. Aroma is chilis with chocolate and the taste is doubly so. Deep, rich milk chocolate profiles with an aftertaste of habanero. The heat is well contained and only just enough to be noticeable and to give the beer a nice heat. The feel is silky smooth and coats the tongue. This is a beer I would have over and over again.

Appearance - The beer poured a blackish color with an off-white head crowning the pour.
Smell - Light chocolate and a little bit of spice came through in the nose.
Taste - Sometimes pepper stouts have a distinct pepper taste. Other spiced stouts taste like raisins. The profile tasted like chocolate covered raisins with a little bit of heat toward the back of the throat. It was more in the vein of liquid heartburn than spice. It was more of a dry heat than anything associated with habaneros. The chocolate covered raisins carried to the finish.
Mouthfeel - Though a bit thin, the stout was a bit sticky. Carbonation was noted.
Overall - Chocolate covered raisins was not what I signed up for.
