Best by 3/28/25. That seems far for a Smoothie Sour but sure
This is an odd combination of adjuncts, but I feel like they might add up to something pretty good. I’ve never even heard of Energy City before but this one had me intrigued enough to go in blind. Let’s dive right in
Pours an opaque yellow orange with a finger of whitish orange head that fades to a thin ring and leaves decent lacing
The nose is pretty much just a pastry here, not much complexity but I still dig it. I’m picking up on aromas of overripe banana, coconut creme, graham cracker, pumpkin meat, vanilla ice cream, orange zest, and caramel
It’s pretty similar in taste, but the sweetness almost becomes overbearing. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting overripe banana, vanilla ice cream, pineapple juice, raw coconut, nutmeg, earthy cinnamon, and light pumpkin. The swallow brings notes of overripe banana, coconut creme, mango juice, orange zest, vanilla ice cream, nutmeg, and pumpkin meat
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a rich beer. Finishes neutral and quite sweet
This one is pretty sweet but still good for what it is. I do wish the pumpkin was a bit more prevalent
